Blanche Sophocleous

Blanche Sophocleous is a well known vocalist, guitarist and MC from Big Pond, Cape Breton. She was a member of the popular recording group Sons of Skye who toured Scotland and many provinces of Canada. Their album, "Both Sides of the Water" that was released in 1981 was just recently re-released on CD. She has also appeared on various albums as a back up guitarist for well known Cape Breton fiddlers and pianists. Blanche is also an MC for events such as concerts, fashion shows and fundraisers.
