Kyle grew up on the west side of the island in Scotsville, near Inverness in a family that took great pride in traditional Cape Breton music. He took to the fiddle at a young age having learned from legendary composer John MacDougall just down the road. Today he and his family live near Boisdale and alongside his wife Dawn on piano, keep busy with many gigs while juggling their full time jobs and busy schedules of their two teenagers Brenley and Madden.
