Koryne MacDonald

Born and raised in Eastern Ontario, Koryne MacDonald started playing fiddle at the age of 10 being surrounded by Gaelic music and culture. She started performing at an early age with the MacLeod Fiddlers lead by her teacher Ian MacLeod completing albums in 2005 and 2010 with the group. She’s performed with various groups including Scotch River Fiddles, Torridon Scottish Dance Band and The Scottish Accent playing for Scottish Country Dances across Canada and the United States. Koryne’s love for Cape Breton Music was heavily influenced by her grandfather from Washabuck, as well as spending summer vacations on the island. She moved to Nova Scotia in 2016 and now calls Colindale home. Koryne plays for ceilidhs, concerts, square dances and other community events.
