Cameron MacNeil

Cameron MacNeil

Cameron started piping with Trevor Kellock at age 10. He is a lead harmony player with the Cape Breton University grade 4 Pipe Band based out of Sydney. Cameron is a Gaelic language student and thoroughly enjoys looking for new music to learn and composing tunes. With the CBU Pipe Band, he has played in the Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo Youth Band and with the Chieftains at Celtic Colours. He has travelled to compete both with the band and solo, winning many awards including North American Pipe Band Championships for grade 5 in 2019, and has more recently taken up highland dance with MacArthur School of Dance. Cameron is joining the Colaisde na Gàidhlig / the Gaelic College staff this summer as duty piper.
