Trevor Kellock

Trevor Kellock started learning the great highland bagpipe at the age of 14 through the Army Cadet program in New Glasgow, NS. He competed in the amateur grades and as a competitive member of the Dartmouth and District Grade 2 Pipe Band. As a soloist, he progressed through the ranks and after a few years was competing in Grade 1 and placing on prize lists in Atlantic Canada and at the North American Championships.Trevor has been playing with the College of Piping Grade 2 Pipe Band in Summerside, PEI, while establishing a teaching program for piping in Sydney, NS. A number of his students have gone on to become successful soloists and band players, and the experience gained from teaching a variety of ages and abilities has been rewarding while helping to shape his own musicianship.
