Michelle Deveau, a 22-year-old singer-songwriter from Chéticamp, Nova Scotia has been performing for as long as she can remember and writing songs since the young age of eleven. Her original songs have won numerous contests through the years and she has had the opportunity to share her music in places such as Newfoundland and the Magdalen Islands. Now studying at Université de Moncton to become a french teacher, Michelle still finds the time to play her music and to plan her future projects. During the summer months, the young artist plays local bar and festival gigs during which she shares her passion for traditional Acadian and Celtic music. Eager to receive her diploma and to move back home, Michelle’s dreams are to pass on her love for her Acadian language and culture through music and education.
