Jeff has been playing the Cape Breton fiddle for 28 years and is an energetic fiddler who grew up in Toronto, but has strong roots in the Maritimes. His father is from Newfoundland and his Grandmother was from Cape Breton. Jeff first fell in love with fiddle music and dancing at age 6, during a family reunion in Cape Breton in 1990. He started immediately taking fiddle lessons from fiddler and music instructor, Sandy MacIntyre and also attended the Gaelic College in St Anns, Cape Breton for several years. Jeff has performed in various concerts and dances throughout Cape Breton and Nova Scotia during his career. He also appeared in the theatrical production The Needfire at the Princess of Wales Theatre in Toronto. Some of his other accomplishments include playing Roy Thompson Hall, Royal Alexandra Theater, The Governor General Awards in Ottawa, several TV shows on CBC, HGTV and Breakfast Television. He has also made numerous appearances throughout Canada and the United States.
