Brian England

Brian England

Brian England is a singer songwriter from Antigonish, NS and was introduced to music at a very young age by his very good mother, Josie England. As a child, John Allan Cameron was always on the radio, and anytime Rita MacNeil was in town, they would go. Starting on the piano at the age of 6, he would study Scottish music under the instruction of Ed Rogers from Heatherton, NS. This created the foundation for Brian to expand his musical influences. In the 1990s, Brian performed with the popular Edmonton based folk group, North West Passage and eventually joined the Nova Scotia based Jug in Hand in 1997. Jug in Hand performed regularly on CTV's flagship morning program, Canada AM and toured across Eastern Canada for more than 20 years and is still active today. In 2014, Brian released his full length CD, BLUE, featuring mostly original material. Brian regularly collaborates with other touring musicians, performs solo, and with his band, Jug in Hand. www.facebook.com/brianenglandmusic
